WAVELAND CITIZENS FUND 501 ( c )  3

Mission Statement

The Waveland Citizens Fund is organized exclusively for charitable purposes including, the making of distributions to individual citizens of Waveland, Mississippi, all citizens of Hancock County, Mississippi, and all other Hurricane Katrina effected areas; to assist in the rebuilding of their lives and/or the furtherance of their ability to progress and improve their economic and social existence through further education, including but not limited to the basic needs of daily living, the repair of homes, the purchase of medical assistance or the need for transportation.

WCF is a 501 (c)(3) organization, registered with the State of Mississippi with a six member Board of Directors. It began in December of 2005 as a result of Hurricane Katrina and continues to help all those who come to our doors as much as possible.

We work closely with Katrina Relief and other long-term recovery offices to accomplish this mission. These organizations, DROs, (disaster recovery organizations) manage volunteer teams and materials donated or received via grants to accomplish the most effective rebuilding efforts in the area. Please see the attached sites for details of our work and information on needs in our community.

All donations of funds, volunteers and materials are accepted. Please contact us at (228) 466-4630 or mail donations to:
